Amber M. Ornelas-Senger, Marriage & Family Therapist

Hello, I am a marriage and family therapist practicing in SW Portland / Beaverton. My practice is dedicated to working with those who have experienced trauma such as survivors of childhood sexual abuse, male survivors of sexual abuse and assault, immigration reports for the US government and premarital counseling for the Catholic Church. I have experience working with early teens, teens and adults. Research holds that the main proponent of a positive counseling experience is the bond of trust you create with your counselor. I will follow your lead and use my training and insight to see where I can help you.

My work integrates developmental, biological, psycho-dynamic and interpersonal aspects of the impact of life events, including trauma.  I incorporate attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy and also am a trained EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapist.
